About Vanessa Conrad-Grigg

I’ve been bitten by the travel bug from a very young age — sitting through countless slide shows and film reels of my parents’ European adventures in the ’60s! That early spark led to my own three-year OE, where I discovered the joy of experiencing a place like a local rather than just a tourist.

After 18 years with Air New Zealand and over 10 + years as a broker with Travel Managers, I absolutely love creating incredible experiences for my clients — and planning adventures with my own family along the way. My goal is simple: To create personalised holidays, designed around how you actually want to travel — from iconic sights to unique experiences that make a holiday truly special.

I research every detail so your next Trip is stress-free, full of amazing experiences, and memories you’ll treasure forever. ✈️  ✈️

My favourite destination would have to be Italy for the food, and the USA for the variety!

My best travelling experience includes Getting to know the locals, people-watching, and a mix of culture and fun.

I am available by email or phone and by appointment Monday through Friday from 2-6pm. I am flexible and mobile and can arrange visits at a local cafe or your home.

My Top Tip: Don’t forget travel with...earplugs, an eye mask and a power bank! Also, an open-minded attitude helps immensely, especially when you encounter a ‘drama’, no matter how big or small there is bound to be one and being able to 'go with the flow' always helps :)

Over the next four weeks Travel Managers Group is looking into North America with inspiration focused content. Below Vanessa has shared her top travel tips and recommendations when visiting North America!

What is your best travel tip when travelling to/in North America?
Hire a car if you can, it is so much easier to get around and explore off the beaten non commercial tracks. it is also easier to fill the boot with you shopping as well!!!

Where is the best place you would recommend clients travel to in North America and why?
Ideally a road trip from San Fran to Los Angeles along the coast. Or a road trip from Charleston south through Savannah to orlando for a combo culture and fun.

What is the top thing you would recommend clients do in North America (could be experiences, activities, food to try etc) and why?
Fryed green tomatoes in the southern states along with bbq crocodile. Give Knotts berry a go. no ques and fun rides.
