Important Travel Advisory: Currently only specific categories of travellers are permitted to enter New Zealand, this includes New Zealand citizens & residents, eligible visa holders, and vaccinated Australian citizens & permanent residents. All travellers must be fully vaccinated and carry proof of vaccination, except for NZ citizens and passengers who are exempt from vaccination requirements. Arriving travellers must present a negative Covid-19 pre-departure PCR test taken & returned within 48 hours of departure of the first international flight or a negative supervised rapid antigen test taken & returned within 24 hours of departure of the first international flight, a NZ traveller declaration, & rapid antigen tests taken upon arrival and on day 5. From 11:59pm 1 May 2022, vaccinated visitors from visa waiver countries, and visitors from other countries who already hold a valid visitor visa can enter New Zealand & self-test on arrival. Entry to New Zealand for all other fully vaccinated travellers will be rolled out in a staged approach currently expected from July to October 2022, dependent on conditions such as visa type, where they are travelling from etc. These requirements are correct at time of publication & are subject to government updates & changes. Important Cook Islands Travel Advisory: All visitors must be double vaccinated. All travellers will need to provide a negative Covid-19 test taken no more than 48 hours prior to departure to the Cook Islands.
