Evening El Querandi Tango Show & Dinner
This evening you will be collected from your hotel to experience a Tango Show with dinner. This is an intimate & passionate tango show, housed in a cozy wood-panelled 19th century building with a colourful history as a meeting point for poets and students in the heart of Buenos Aires's historic centre. After being abandoned in the late 1970s, the bar was restored and reopened in 1992 as El Querandí Tango Hall. The show is directed by Claudio Campos, with musical arrangements by Ado Falasca, and it smoothly charts the history of Argentina's most authentic artistic expression from its origins to the modern day. The dinner is better than many, and at just over an hour long, the show is the perfect length. The three house singers, six dancers and four musicians put on a great show. Dinner will be served from 8.30pm followed by the show commencing at 10.00pm. Please note timings are subject to change and will be confirmed directly to you. On completion of the show, you will be taken to your hotel. Please note this is a small group tour.

Day 3: Buenos Aires - Liniers Cattle Market & Argentine Experience
Liniers Cattle Market
Today you will be picked up early in the morning by our guide, and you will be transferred to the Liniers Cattle Market - it will be around one-hour drive. At 8am the tour will start, run by a specialised guide from the market. The guided tour lasts one hour.
Liniers cattle market is the major livestock trade centre of the country, holding several particular characteristics that make it unique worldwide. Bidding between buyers take place here daily, and the so settled final price rule the value for the whole national livestock. It supplies the domestic beef needs for Buenos Aires. Some 10,000 to 13,000 head of cattle are sold here each day, four days a week. Most of the cattle are sold to local supermarkets and packing plants for consumption in the Buenos Aires area. The other 85 percent are marketed in local auctions or directly from the farmer or rancher to the packer.
The Liniers Cattle Market has been active for more than 130 years, so its history is very long and interesting, and has been very influenced by the social and political scenarios of the country (Liniers Cattle Market Entrance Fee is included). This is a great authentic experience for people who have a background or interest in farming.
The Argentine Experience - Dinner
The Argentine Experience offers a unique dining experience which cleverly blends exquisite food and wine, local culture and social integration. Individuals, couples, families and groups are mixed around two 13 person banquet tables, led by two charismatic guides, and supported by our international team.
They teach the art of making traditional empanadas, then everyone gets creative in Argentina’s first and only novelty empanada competition. Alongside your creations, enjoy grilled provoleta cheese with sliced chorizo sausage and pork flank steak. Next, enjoy what some are boldly claiming to be one of the best steaks in Argentina, with a unique 24 hour preparation, cooked to order and accompanied with velvety mashed potatoes and oven roasted vegetables (Vegetarian/Pescatarian and celiac options available).
For dessert, make your own alfajores and learn about the history and etiquette of mate, Argentina’s national pastime. The meal is paired with endless excellent wines from limited boutique lines. The guides throughout the evening will answer questions on Argentine cuisine and culture.

Day 5: Depart Buenos Aires (B)
The San Telmo market is a lively and colourful market. The Feria de San Telmo began as a 270-stall antiques market in 1971, and has grown into a huge come-as-you-are street bazaar that draws over 12,000 people every week. The heart of the antique wares are congregated around Plaza Dorrego but the entire outdoor market stretches down 13 blocks of the cobblestone Defensa Street and off onto a few side lanes. From 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Defensa Street is completely pedestrian and packed with entertainers jockeying for attention and an international array of street vendors who display their goods on the pavement. The offerings include antiquities from Argentina’s glory days, original art, funky clothing, homemade snacks, and pretty much everything else you can imagine! For non-shoppers the street fair offers plenty of free entertainment and some of Buenos Aires’ most interesting people watching.
