Day 1 - Arrive Bordeaux, Embark Ship

Be met on arrival and transfer to your ship.

Stay: Seven Nights, an Aria River Ship

Day 2 - Cadillac


Perhaps tour Château de Cazeneuve, once the home of King Henry IV of France. Alternatively, visit Château de la Brède, then travel to Sauternes to try the region’s famous dessert wine, or remain on board your luxury river ship and delight in a cheese tasting.

After your chosen activity, enjoy a wonderful Gala Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 - Pauillac


During a visit to a local cooperage, see how wooden wine barrels are produced. Afterwards, visit Château Giscours, a remarkable 19th-century Grand Cru Classé estate in the famous Margaux region. Here, delight in a tour and wine tasting.

Enjoy the scenery of Aquitaine's vineyards. Disembark your ship and journey through the famous Médoc wine region.

Day 4 - Blaye, Bourg


Perhaps travel to Cognac for a tour and a tasting at a French cognac house, sail to the town of Bourg and take a walking tour, or enjoy a bike ride from Blaye to Bourg.

Discover the town of Blaye and take a walk around the 17th-century citadel, as well as its underground passages. Later, choose your activity.

Day 5 - Libourne, Saint-Emilion


This evening, savour a fine wine tasting followed by a private dinner at the regal Château de Ferrand. The château dates back to the 17th-century, while the current owners, the Bich family, were founders of the famous Bic company. It is now managed by a Bich family member who has since married into the Chandon-Moët family.

In Saint-Émilion, head to the underground Monolithic Church, then enjoy some free time to explore.

Day 6 - Libourne, Bordeaux


From Libourne, perhaps tour Bergerac, visit a local caviar estate or browse the local market and sample some fresh produce along the way.

After the day’s activity, enjoy the Captain’s Farewell Dinner as you cruise to Bordeaux.

Day 7 - Bordeaux


Take in Bordeaux's unique blend of 18th-century and contemporary architecture and uncover the secrets behind certain buildings. Alternatively, embark on a culinary exploration of Bordeaux with a charcuterie and cheese tasting, or play a round of golf at a renowned course.

Embrace the culture and history of Bordeaux on your chosen activity today.

Day 8 - Disembark Ship, Depart Bordeaux

Transfer to the airport for your flight.
